The Department of Health and Human Services Administration for Children and Families awarded $2,987,000 under the Adoption and Legal Guardianship Incentive Payments (CFDA 93.603) Formula Grant program to the Family And Social Services Administration of Indiana. The grant will support Indiana's efforts to increase annually the number of children in foster care who find permanent homes through adoption or legal guardianship from October 1, 2021 through September 30, 2025. As the designated state agency, Family And Social Services Administration will oversee service delivery and is partnering with its division Blind And Visually Impaired Services to provide adoption and legal guardianship incentives and support services statewide. The objective of the Adoption and Legal Guardianship Incentives program is to incentivize states and tribes to find permanent living situations for children in foster care.
