The Ohio Department of Youth Services (ODYS) has been awarded a $1,425,217 Formula Grant from the U.S. Department of Justice's Office of Juvenile Justice and Delinquency Prevention (CFDA 16.540 Juvenile Justice and Delinquency Prevention). This grant, effective from October 1, 2024 to September 30, 2028, will support ODYS's efforts to provide comprehensive services for delinquency prevention, intervention, and juvenile justice system improvements in the state of Ohio. The grant funding will enable ODYS to deliver a range of evidence-based programs and initiatives, including reducing racial and ethnic disparities, promoting positive youth development, and supporting at-risk youth through services such as mentoring, counseling, job readiness training, and family support. ODYS plans to sub-award portions of the grant to local organizations, such as the Ohio Department of Education, to help implement these services across the state.
