The Department of the Army Tennessee Army National Guard awarded a Cooperative Agreement to the Tennessee Department of Military (Tennessee National Guard) for $1.319 million on October 1, 2025, under the National Guard Military Operations and Maintenance (O&M) Projects program (CFDA 12.401). The award funds operations and maintenance support for Army National Guard facilities and authorized service support activities to National Guard units and personnel, with performance through September 30, 2026, at locations in Tennessee. The National Guard O&M Projects program is a non-discretionary, Congressionally directed assistance program administered through cooperative agreements with the 50 states, District of Columbia, Puerto Rico, the Virgin Islands, and Guam; recipients submit annual budgets to program managers for negotiation and acceptance prior to agreement execution. The Tennessee National Guard has demonstrated extensive experience managing federal O&M cooperative agreements, with recent awards totaling over $20 million across approximately 15 distinct projects, supporting facility sustainment, restoration and modernization, environmental management, security operations, fire protection, training systems, command and control infrastructure, antiterrorism and emergency management, family support services, and administrative operations across multiple installations statewide.
