The Department of State Bureau of African Affairs awarded a $119,999.25 cooperative agreement to the Luapula Foundation of Zambia to support a Community Led Monitoring Initiative to Improve Quality of HIV Care in Luapula Province from January 13, 2023 through November 30, 2023.
The initiative will support community-based monitoring of HIV care services in Luapula Province, Zambia under the U.S. President's Emergency Plan for AIDS Relief Programs (PEPFAR) CFDA #19.029. PEPFAR aims to provide support for HIV/AIDS treatment, care, and prevention globally. The Luapula Foundation will work directly with communities to monitor quality and access of HIV care, identifying gaps and strengths in the provincial health system to improve outcomes. Data collected will help the Zambian government strengthen HIV services to better serve those in need.
