THIS PROGRAM UTILIZES QUALIFIED NON-PROFIT YOUTH- AND VETERAN-SERVING ORGANIZATIONS TO CARRY OUT APPROPRIATE NATURAL AND CULTURAL RESOURCE CONSERVATION, EDUCATION, VOLUNTEER SERVICE AND EDUCATION PROJECTS ON DEPARTMENT OF THE INTERIOR LANDS THROUGH AUTHORIZED NATIONAL PARK SERVICE PROGRAMS. THIS TASK AGREEMENT PROVIDES ONE FULL-TIME CUSTODIAL INTERN TO SUPPORT ROCKY MOUNTAIN NATIONAL PARK FACILITY OPERATIONS OVER A 37.5-WEEK SERVICE TERM. THE INTERN WILL PERFORM CUSTODIAL SERVICES ACROSS VISITOR-USE AND ADMINISTRATIVE FACILITIES, INCLUDING CLEANING, WASTE AND RECYCLING HANDLING, SEASONAL FACILITY OPENING AND CLOSING, AND OPERATIONAL SUPPORT TO MAINTAIN SAFE AND SANITARY PARK INFRASTRUCTURE. THIS PROJECT SUPPORTS CONTINUITY OF DAILY PARK OPERATIONS WHILE HELPING ADDRESS HIGH VISITOR USE AND ONGOING FACILITY MAINTENANCE NEEDS. INDIVIDUALS FAMILIES STUDENTS AND THE GENERAL PUBLIC WILL RECEIVE A BENEFIT FROM THE DEVELOPMENT AND EXECUTION OF THESE PROGRAMS AND PROJECTS.
