Description

Statement of need: provide opportunities for early-career individuals and support staff to engage in meaningful projects that enhance our understanding of natural resources in and around yosemite national park in the sierra nevada. These efforts will help improve our ability to manage, conserve, and restore wildlife resources. Specifically, field personnel and support staff will participate in various projects focused on data collection, information compilation, wildlife management and forest restoration activities, and the conservation of wildlife, and other resources in southern sierra nevada national parks, primarily yosemite NP. The goal of these initiatives is to promote effective stewardship of public lands and natural resources (e.g., wildlife, old-growth forests, meadows) during a time of significant landscape change.
