The award funds the Medical Monitoring Project (MMP), a case surveillance activity that describes the behavioral and clinical characteristics of people with HIV in and out of care in San Francisco. Data informs local and national MMP estimates and tracks progress toward San Francisco Department of Public Health and CDC benchmarks under the Ending the HIV Epidemic Initiative and the National HIV/AIDS Strategy. Results will guide decision-making on health and wellbeing for persons living and aging with HIV in San Francisco and are intended to be transportable to other jurisdictions nationwide.
The award is made under the HIV Prevention and Surveillance Activities—Health Department Based program (CFDA 93.940) with a period of performance through September 29, 2030.
