Description
National black justice coalition enhancing strategic HIV communications among black MSM and transgender women through strategic partnerships - 1. Project abstract summaryin order to accomplish the aforementioned project period outcomes and achieve maximum impact, nbjc will utilize leverage its existing organizational structure, networks, and communications platforms to implement the strategies and activities for both category a (digital and social media) and b (events). Given that we are considering category a and b as integrated activities, we will present an integrated approach to our strategies and outcomes. Nbjc is uniquely positioned, as the nation?s only civil rights organization working at the intersection of racial equity and lgbtqia+ equality, to leverage CDC messages and materials to increase the number of black leaders and organizations that serve and support black communities, engaged in efforts to increase HIV/aids awareness and stigma reduction. Since 2003, nbjc has provided leadership at the intersection of national civil rights groups and lgbt organizations. Nbjc has spent nearly the last decade testing and improving ways to disseminate CDC informed messages and materials in ways that have resulted in meaningful and measurable shifts in conversations about and actions concerning HIV/aids in diverse black communities. Nbjc brings voice, takes action and builds networks to empower black lgbtq+/SGL people to be credible agents of positive change, working to improve the social, political, and overall health and wellness of the black lgbtq+/SGL community. Nbjc will utilize its established national reach through earned media, social media platforms, grassroots networks and collaborative partnerships, in order to support the CDC?s let's stop HIV together efforts to disseminate HIV prevention messaging and communication within black communities?particularly among MSM and transgender women?and to implement national engagement efforts that focus on HIV prevention, awareness, testing, and care. By the end of the project period, nbjc?s effort will support the implementation of the CDC?s ending the HIV epidemic: a plan for america (EHE), and maximize the effectiveness and reach of the CDC?s let's stop HIV together campaign and other HIV prevention messaging. By the end of the project period, the national black justice coalition will demonstrate measurable progress toward addressing the following outcomes:1. Increase exposure to CDC?s let?s stop HIV together campaign materials and messages among the black community, particularly MSM and transgender women.2. Increase HIV-related information seeking behaviors in the black community, particularly among black MSM and transgender women.3. Increase partner engagement with CDC?s let?s stop HIV together materials and messages among organizations and individuals serving black MSM and transgender women.4. Increase cross-community support for HIV prevention, testing, and referral services in the black community, particularly MSM and transgender women.5. Increase HIV-related communication among engaged partners and networks in the black community, particularly MSM and transgender women.
