ENHANCE PROPOSES TO SUPPORT THE GOVERNMENT OF NIGERIA REACH HIV EPIDEMIC CONTROL AND STRENGTHEN IT RESPONSE TO TB AND OTHER DISEASES OF PUBLIC HEALTH SIGNIFICANCE ON A BACKBONE OF AN OPTIMIZED CENTRALIZED LABORATORY INFORMATION MANAGEMENT SYSTEM THAT LINKS DATA ON TRACKING OF SAMPLE RECEIPT, TESTING, GENERATION AND RETURN OF TEST RESULTS, COMMODITY UTILIZATION AND TRACKING, AND EQUIPMENT UTILIZATION. THROUGH THE UTILIZATION OF IMPROVED AND EXPANDED DASH BOARDS WITH REAL TIME OR NEAR REAL TIME INFORMATION, ENHANCE PROVIDES CRITICAL INFORMATION FOR: 1) IMPROVED COORDINATION, SUPERVISION AND MENTORING BY APPROPRIATE AGENCIES OF THE GOVERNMENT OF NIGERIA AND HEALTH FACILITIES; 2) EXPANDED INTERNAL AND EXTERNAL QUALITY ASSURANCE PROCESSES LEADING TO ISO ACCREDITATION OF SELECTED CDC SUPPORTED MOLECULAR LABORATORIES AND NATIONAL REFERENCE LABS; 3) IMPROVED TRACKING OF THE STAFF LEVEL, RETENTION, AND PROGRESS IN THE CAREER DEVELOPMENT OF THE TRAINED LAB WORK FORCE; AND 4) IMPROVED INFECTION, PREVENTION AND CONTROL THROUGH OCCUPATIONAL HEALTH, PATIENT SAFETY, AND AN EFFECTIVE WASTE MANAGEMENT AT CDC-SUPPORTED LABORATORIES.
