About this award
The Bureau of Labor Statistics (BLS) awarded a $2.2 million cooperative agreement to the Iowa Workforce Development Center to collect, analyze, and publish statistical data on employment, unemployment, and wages through September 2023. This supports the Labor Force Statistics program by funding state-level data collection and analysis to produce national employment situation and wage indicators, as outlined in the Wagner-Peyser Act and Workforce Innovation and Opportunity Act. As a cooperative agreement, the recipient will partner directly with BLS to disseminate estimates for workforce planning and developing programs to address labor surplus areas. No sub-awards are planned under this agreement.
