Description

The work will integrate low-tech process-based restoration (ltpbr), invasive species control, and, where appropriate, engineered infrastructure plans across BLM, state, and private lands with ecological linkages. The overarching goal is to advance restoration of riparian and wetland systems across BLM-managed and adjacent lands, strengthening the ecological foundation that supports public resource management. Ltpbr techniques slow and store water, elevate streambeds, and reconnect floodplains, sustaining migratory bird habitat, increasing groundwater recharge, and bolstering ecological resilience. By applying this framework at priority sites statewide, DU will restore ecological functions that benefit wildlife, working lands, and local communities alike
