Description

EX situ propagation has the potential to augment existing MSB populations that are currently in decline and reintroduce new MSB populations into unoccupied, suitable habitat. The kalamazoo nature center has been permitted to collect up to ten female and ten male MSB adults for propagation purposes by the USFWS, whose offspring will be used for augmentation after metamorphosing to adulthood in captivity. This funding supports this work through staffing and supplies.
