About this award
The National Institute of Standards and Technology (NIST) awarded a $100,000 Cooperative Agreement (CFDA 11.620 - Science, Technology, Business and/or Education Outreach) to Tiami Networks, Inc., a minority-owned small disadvantaged business, to design a zero-trust cybersecurity architecture tailored to C-V2X communications. The proposed architecture aims to prevent a multitude of security threats to connected vehicles, including broadcast message spoofing, man-in-the-middle attacks, denial-of-service, and SyncRef timing reference spoofing. The project is expected to develop technology to safeguard the automotive and telecommunications sectors as adoption of C-V2X technology accelerates among major automakers and telecom carriers. The award has a period of performance from May 15, 2024, to November 15, 2024.
