Immersive internship experiences for federal agency careers

The Kansas Bioscience Organization Inc. will receive $299,998 under a Cooperative Agreement awarded on January 31, 2023 by the United States Department of Agriculture Agricultural Research Service Central Program Planning Coordination and Support. The agreement will support the Immersive Internship Experiences for Federal Agency Careers project through January 31, 2026.

Under this award, the Kansas Bioscience Organization Inc. will administer internship opportunities aligned with the USDA Agricultural Research Service's Agricultural Research Basic and Applied Research program (CFDA 10.001). The internships will provide hands-on experiences in agricultural research fields to expose participants to potential careers with the funding agency. In keeping with the program's goals, the internships are expected to help develop scientific and technical skills while exploring alternative approaches to agricultural research challenges.
