The Department of Agriculture Agricultural Marketing Service awarded a $125,000.07 Cooperative Agreement to California Certified Organic Farmers Inc. on March 1, 2026, under the Farmers Market and Local Food Promotion Program (CFDA 10.175). The award runs through February 29, 2028, with place of performance in California.
The Farmers Market and Local Food Promotion Program funds projects that develop, coordinate, and expand direct producer-to-consumer markets and local and regional food business enterprises to increase access to and availability of locally and regionally produced agricultural products. California Certified Organic Farmers Inc., operating as Ccof Certification Services, will execute this project to support San Diego's commercial fishing sector and local agricultural providers in shifting away from global supply chains focused on efficiency and low cost toward models that emphasize quality and sustainability.
