The University of Minnesota Extension has been awarded a $6,865,790 Cooperative Agreement by the U.S. Department of Agriculture (USDA) under the Special Supplemental Nutrition Program for Women, Infants, and Children (WIC) National Workforce Strategy Development program (CFDA 10.244). The project aims to identify effective WIC staffing models for diverse contexts, including necessary roles and responsibilities, required skills and competencies, and strategies for supporting organizational change. The effort will develop learning resources to support the growth of the existing WIC workforce and test educational models through quarterly WIC-wide learning opportunities.
