About this award

The Department of Justice Office on Violence Against Women awarded End Domestic Abuse Wisconsin a $260,000 cooperative agreement on August 1, 2026, under the OVW Technical Assistance Initiative (CFDA 16.526) to continue operating the Abuse in Later Life National Resource Center. This is year five of a five-year comprehensive technical assistance project originally awarded competitively under the FY 2021 solicitation and continues the prior award 15JOVW-23-GK-05142-MUMU.

End Domestic Abuse Wisconsin will develop and revise resources and provide training and technical assistance to OVW grantees, subgrantees, and potential grantees and subgrantees on recognizing and responding effectively to abuse in later life, supporting Purpose Area 35. The work is performed in Madison, Wisconsin, with a period of performance running through July 31, 2027. The OVW Technical Assistance Initiative funds cooperative agreements that equip grantees with expertise and resources to develop and implement successful state, local, tribal, and campus projects; increase victim safety; and enhance offender accountability in response to domestic violence, dating violence, sexual assault, and stalking.

Description

The office on violence against women (OVW) training and technical assistance (TA) initiative provides OVW grantees, subgrantees, and potential grantees and subgrantees with the expertise and support they need to develop and implement successful state, local, tribal, and campus projects; increase victim safety; and bolster offender accountability. Through cooperative agreements, OVW supports educational programming and resources, conferences, peer-to-peer learning, and targeted assistance that allows current and potential grantees and subgrantees to learn from experts and one another about how to overcome obstacles and incorporate promising practices in their efforts to address violence against women. In addition, OVW is focused on building the capacity of the criminal and civil justice systems and victim service providers to respond effectively to domestic violence, dating violence, sexual assault, and stalking and to foster partnerships between organizations that have not traditionally worked together to address violence against women. With FY 2025 TA initiative funding, end domestic abuse wisconsin's national clearinghouse on abuse in later life (NCALL) will continue to implement the abuse in later life national resource center. The organization will develop and revise resources and provide training and technical assistance to OVW grantees, subgrantees, and potential grantees and subgrantees on recognizing and responding effectively to abuse in later life. This project supports purpose area 35: abuse in later life national resource center. This award is for year five of a five-year comprehensive TA project awarded competitively under the FY 2021 TA initiative solicitation. This award is a continuation of 15JOVW-23-GK-05142-mumu.
