About this award

The International Association of Forensic Nurses, Incorporated (IAFN) received a $550,000 cooperative agreement award from the Department of Justice Office on Violence Against Women (OVW) under the OVW Technical Assistance Initiative program (CFDA 16.526) to operate the Sexual Assault Forensic Examiner Technical Assistance (SAFETA) Project from October 1, 2021 through September 30, 2023. The SAFETA Project will provide technical assistance to communities and agencies to strengthen their response to violent crimes against women through forging partnerships and sharing expertise.
