Added: Apr 23, 2015 10:31 am Justification for Other than Full and Open CompetitionThis emergency purchase order is awarded under the authority of 10 USC 2304(c)(2). In accordance with FAR 6.302-2 Unusual and Compelling Urgency, the services require emergency repairs to the Mosler teleport system for Building 10. This system runs toughout the Clinical Research Center (CRC) delivering supplies, medical records and other items. Immediate failure could occur. If records and supplies are not delivered in a timely manner this could cause health and safety concerns for patients and personnel working in the CRC. Due to the urgency of the requirement and in accordance with FAR 13.106-1(b), work will be performed by Teledynamics, LLC.Since this is an emergency requirement, in accordance with FAR 6.305(b), in the case of a contract permitted under 6.302-2 Unusual and Compelling Urgency, the justification shall be posted within 30 days after contract award. The anticipated period of performance is as soon as possible after the notice to proceed. The longer the delay in making this award, the Government will bear possible serious safety hazards and greater financial impact.In accordance with Health and Human Services Acquisition Policy, HHSAR 306-303 (b)(1), Justifications for acquisitions at or below the simplified acquisition teshold may be in the form of a paragraph or paragraphs contained in the requisition or other acquisition request document.The amount of this award is $3,900.00.
