Description
EPA requires a large volume of photographs to feed a daily demand for making web and print publications and infographics for just about every public initiative. The growing use of social and visual media to present epas mission and messages has exceeded our current collective means to physically send a photographers to photograph the needed visual stock content for all of EPA activities. Even with having staff in the regions taking photos, EPA cannot meet the need for high-quality high resolution photographs. While EPA has relied on online photos services along with what its staff can photograph, the need continues to grow. EPA can be very cost effective if IT relied more upon online photo stock services to meet IT photo needs. EPA staff can continue to photograph the very local things not found in stock services. Even with the high cost of photo stock the saving alone make a good case to use more purchased stock. The only barrier to using more purchased stock has been the per credit cost. The advent of new pricing plans for photo stock offered by istock photo makes IT easy to meet the growing need. If EPA purchased an annual plan for about $4,000.00 dollars IT would have access to the credit equivalent of $117,000.00 dollars of photos per-year seem like a good deal. IT is a good deal. See the quote. No stock service can offer the same. This is good for EPA. A number of EPA offices will stop purchasing per credit photos and work together under this one account.
