NASA's Shared Services Center issued a purchase order to Mydax, Inc. for one CryoDax 8 Low Temperature Chiller System thermal conditioning unit, valued at $106,640, with award date of August 10, 2026. No set-aside was used. The unit will be delivered to Greenbelt, Maryland (NASA Goddard Space Flight Center) and integrated with the Planetary Environments Simulator vacuum chamber, providing two independent conditioned fluid loops operating from minus 60 degrees Celsius to plus 100 degrees Celsius with automated ramp and soak functions controlled remotely via ethernet. The system operates on 208vac 60hz 3-phase power and cannot use silicone-based heat transfer fluids. Period of performance extends through January 8, 2027, with initial thermal vacuum testing beginning in December 2026. The procurement was issued as a sole-source award under FAR Part 12 commercial procedures following the special notice posted July 20, 2026.
