The National Eye Institute awarded a purchase order to Alazar Technologies Inc. for $39,317.50 on September 29, 2026, for camera acquisition circuit boards and accessories to support operation and modernization of an adaptive optics optical coherence tomography system used in clinical research.
Performance occurs at the NIH Clinical Center, Building 10, Room 9N240B, Bethesda, Maryland. The order procures one ATS9380-001 frame grabber (10.4 GS/s sampling rate, 12-bit resolution, DC to 5.0 GHz bandwidth), one ATS9416-002 16-channel frame grabber (100 MS/s per channel, 14-bit resolution, DC to 65 MHz bandwidth), one ATS9416-005 custom external clock (5 MHz to 100 MHz frequency range), and one ATS9416-035 custom signal cable (4-meter length with 16 male BNC connectors). The hardware upgrades the existing AOOCT instruments to accommodate doubled speed of the imaging light source and must achieve full compatibility with NEI's proprietary software drivers without system architecture modifications. Delivery is required within 90 days of award. The order concludes September 28, 2027. The procurement was conducted on a sole-source basis under FAR Part 12 commercial procedures.
