Description: The National Center for Advancing Translational Science (NCATS) of the National Institutes of Health has a requirement for a commercially-available ultra-sensitive electrochemiluminescence plate imager with industrial capacity for 384-well plates 7. Purpose and Objectives: NCATS currently has a Meso Scale Discovery instrument from Meso Scale Diagnostics, Inc., Rockville, MD 20850, but it is a model that can only use 96-well plates. It is heavily used analyzing cytokine secretion from 3D biofabricated tissues, producing very high quality data. NCATS has determined that no other device on the market is both screening-based and electrochemiluminescence-based in one instrument, using 384-well plates. NCATS seeks to determine whether other sources for such an instrument are commercially available. NCATS seeks an ultra-sensitive multiplex plate reader that uses electrochemiluminescence to detect binding events on patterned arrays, utilizing simple protocols that are amenable to a HTS environment. The instrument must be capable of performing multiplexed measurement and analyzing samples from a 384-well plate. NCATS expects to require delivery of the instrument by July 30, 2019. 8. REQUESTED RESPONSE: The intent of this sources sought notice is to define the procurement strategy (e.g. set-aside, sole source, unrestricted) for a solicitation that NCATS intends to post soon.
