The National Park Service Pacific West Region awarded a purchase order to JJH Earthworks LLC, a service-disabled veteran-owned small business, for $9,947.63 on September 23, 2026, to remove and replace turbidity meters at Lake Creek Water Treatment Plant, Oregon Caves National Monument & Preserve.
This total small business set-aside order calls for removal of two existing Hach 1720D turbidity meters and installation of government-furnished equipment: two Hach TU5300sc laser turbidity meters and one Hach SC4500 controller. The contractor furnishes labor, materials, tools, and supervision, including approximately twenty linear feet of sample tubing, isolation and flow control valves, fittings, and electrical integration with 120V power connection and 4-20 mA output/Modbus communication. Work occurs in Cave Junction, Oregon, and must complete within thirty calendar days by October 27, 2026. Site access is constrained to hand-transport only via Big Tree Trail without motorized equipment. Water system shutdowns cannot exceed two hours and require forty-eight-hour notice. The contractor must hold a current Oregon Construction Contractors Board License and comply with Davis-Bacon wage rates.
