The National Cancer Institute awarded a purchase order to Element Biosciences, Inc. for an AVITI24 Sequencing and Spatial Biology System valued at $315,090 on September 23, 2026. No set-aside was used. The Interior Business Center procured the system on behalf of the NCI's Center for Cancer Research under FAR 12.201-1 (sole-source, firm fixed-price). Performance of manufacture occurs in San Diego, California; delivery and installation occur at the NCI Main Campus in Bethesda, Maryland. The system integrates next-generation sequencing, high-resolution imaging, spatial cytoprofiling, and direct in situ sequencing on a single instrument, supporting flexible configurations across multiple flow cell formats and highly multiplexed applications including RNA profiling, protein detection, mutation analysis, and immune receptor profiling. The purchase includes hardware, optics, computing components, software licenses, accessories, manufacturer warranty, and manufacturer-authorized training within one week of installation. Payment is due upon delivery, installation, and Government acceptance. Ultimate completion date is September 22, 2027.
