The Department of Agriculture Animal and Plant Health Inspection Service seeks rental of temporary HVAC equipment for the National Center for Applied Plant Protection (NCAPP) facility, with quotations due August 20, 2026 at 12:00 PM Central Time. The requirement is for two 60-ton air-cooled chillers operating at 460V to maintain laboratory environment temperatures between 68–74°F for 12 months, September 1, 2026 through August 31, 2027. The contractor must provide delivery by September 1, 2026 on an FOB Destination basis and furnish a portable HVAC solution to retain cooling and heating capability during equipment repairs. NCAPP is a mission-critical facility operating 24/7/365 that houses the Plant Pathogen Confirmatory Diagnostics Lab (PPCDL), the only Federal Plant Pathology ISO/IEC 17025:2017 accredited laboratory conducting operational diagnostics for plant pathogens. Maintaining precise temperature and humidity control is essential to preserve accreditation.
