Sieverding Construction, Inc. has been awarded a $28,225 firm fixed-price purchase order by the U.S. Department of Agriculture Agricultural Research Service to complete a roof replacement project on Building 3 at the Jamie Whitten Delta States Research Center in Stoneville, Mississippi. The project scope includes removing the existing PVC or TPO roofing system down to the concrete deck and installing a new 60 mil Duro-Last PVC roofing system with a 20-year, no-dollar-limit warranty, along with new tapered polyisocyanurate insulation, perimeter edge metal, and drainage components. The approximately 1,230 square-foot roof must meet ASCE-7 wind uplift requirements and NSF/ANSI Standard 347 Gold certification for sustainability standards. The contract is 100% set aside for small businesses and was awarded based on a Lowest Price Technically Acceptable evaluation methodology following a May 20, 2025 solicitation posting.
The work must be completed by May 11, 2026, with performance beginning within 10 calendar days of contract award and the bulk of work to be finished within 90 calendar days. Sieverding Construction is responsible for providing all materials, labor, and equipment, as well as disposing of debris at a certified disposal site. As a Davis-Bacon Act-covered project, the contractor must comply with applicable prevailing wage requirements. The contract was awarded on August 1, 2025, following a June 18, 2025 proposal deadline that included a mandatory site visit on June 9, 2025.
