About this award

This contract is a delivery order awarded by the Department of State Bureau of Political-Military Affairs under the African Contingency Operations Training and Assistance (ACOTA) program. The contract provides support to enable Togo to achieve self-sufficiency in training and deploying peacekeeping forces for African Union and United Nations peace support operations. The contract, valued at $712,229, is a continuation of a previous ACOTA effort and will build on after-action reviews and a Togolese joint action plan. The prime contractor is Engility LLC, a subsidiary of Science Applications International Corporation (SAIC), a major provider of IT, engineering, and technical services to federal government customers.

Description

Togo currently contributes two (2) battalions of peacekeepers. One (1) battalion on a one (1) year deployment to the united nations multidimensional integrated stabilization mission in mali (MINUSMA) and one battalion on a one (1) year deployment to the united nations multidimensional integrated stabilization mission in the central african republic (MINUSCA). The acota support documented in this SOW is a continuation of phase I of the acota self sufficiency initiative intended to enable togo to achieve enduring training self-sufficiency in support of AU and UN peace support operations (PSO). IT encompasses development of the force generation capability to mobilize, train, deploy, and support peacekeeping operations on the continent of africa in a 1-2 year time frame. Togo is a mature acota partner with the capacity and infrastructure sufficient to support training with leadership and technical assistance from acota and the international community. This effort will build on previous after action reviews and the togolese joint action plan (JAP) developed in phase I of the effort (see attachments 6 and 7).
