About this award
This is a firm fixed-price delivery order awarded by the Armstrong Flight Research Center (AFRC), a civilian agency, to the West Virginia High Technology Consortium Foundation (doing business as the High Technology Foundation), a non-profit organization, for an "Assessment Environment for Complex Systems" project. The project is part of the Verification and Validation Research for Flight-Critical Systems program, which is developing techniques, methods, and tools to provide time- and cost-effective assurance of safe and reliable systems operation. The contract, valued at $736,879.00, provides an assessment environment comprised of a system under test and a verification and validation research test bench to support this research. The High Technology Foundation has received several multi-million dollar federal grants in recent years for research and development projects related to renewable energy, climate, and entrepreneurship.
Description
Assessment environment for complex systems. The verification and validation research for flight-critical systems program is developing techniques, methods, and tools to provide time- and cost-effective assurance of safe and reliable systems operation through design, development, verification and validation. One tool that is required to support this research is the assessment environment (AE). The AE is comprised of two major components: the system under test (SUT), and the V & V research test bench (V & vrtb). The SUT contains an integrated modular architecture system which represents the system which is to be verified and validated using the methods and techniques developed by the research. The verification and validation research test bench provides the means to perform testing and record the results.
