About this award
This is a delivery order awarded by the National Aeronautics and Space Administration (NASA) Glenn Research Center to Zin Technologies, Inc., a self-certified small disadvantaged business. The $5,511,168.00 cost-plus-fixed-fee contract supports Mission Integration and Operations (MI&O) and Science Management for the International Space Station (ISS) Program.
The work includes interface verification testing, ISS/carrier integration, and operations activities as defined in the Payload Integration Template. Historically, MI&O and Science Management were provided under a single source, but the funding for MI&O is now separate from the Space Life and Physical Sciences (SLPS) program. This contract allows the agency to more effectively track the funding sources. There is no set-aside designation for this award, which has an ultimate completion date of September 30, 2028.
Description
Mission integration & operations (MI & o) and science management have historically been from a single source, space life and physical sciences (slps). Starting in FY15, funding for MI & o will be provided by the international space station program office (isspo). Thus, for the current payload delivery orders with MI & o tasks, the MI & o portion of the work is being removed and combined in this single delivery order. This will allow the ability to track the funding from each source more effectively. MI & o consists of the milestones and products described within the payload integration template (PIT), SSP 57057. These applicable products are the defined deliverables for this delivery order. Activities include but are not limited to: interface verification testing (IVT);ISS/carrier integration; turnover activities, and operations.
