Description
2Z COG C4I 2Z COG C4I equipment lifecycle and inventory analysis. The intent of this performance work statement (PWS) is to analyze existing 2Z COG C4I items (niins) to allow proper sizing of inventories to support remaining lifecycles of C4I systems. Spawar organic depots and in-service engineering agents (isea) use 2Z COG equipment carcasses (a and f condition units) for repair and sustainment of the 2Z COG equipments installed in the fleet. Many 2Z COG equipments contain parts that are no longer commercially available or carried in the supply system. Retaining needed equipments potentially saves DON significant funding by using these units to obtain obsolescent parts for repairs. The DON saves potentially millions of dollars by avoiding RE-engineering and manufacturing costs. At the same time, the depots and other locations (i.e. DLA warehouses) have quantities of some of these equipments that are well in excess of the numbers needed to sustain the remaining lifecycles of these systems. The storage of inappropriate excess units increases depot costs, storage and inventory costs.
