JUSTIFICATION AND APPROVAL TO INCREASE THE TOTAL AGGREGATE CONTRACT MAXIMUM OF THE NAVFACSW COMMERCIAL AND INDUSTRIAL II BUILDING CONSTRUCTION MACC BY $92M
Approval for the use of other than full and open competition, to increase the total aggregate contract maximum of the NAVFAC Southwest Commercial and Institutional II Building MACC by $92,000,000, from $240,000,000 to $332,000,000 for all contracts combined was granted via J&A 20-04-01 on January 21, 2020, to allow for award of new task orders in support of the China Lake Earthquake Recovery effort and provide a reserve for potential unforeseen modifications that may be required under new task orders, with no extension to the contract completion date. The statutory authority permitting other than full and open competition is 10 U.S.C. 2304(c)(2), as implemented by FAR 6.302-2.
