Added: May 01, 2009 1:34 pm This is a Source Selection Best Value Solicitation to provide for a General Construction Multiple Award Construction Contract (MACC) for construction, alteration, and repair to Government facilities by means of an indefinite delivery indefinite quantity (IDIQ) MACC for various facilities in the North Carolina area. Multiple indefinite delivery, indefinite quantity (IDIQ) Multiple Award Construction Contracts (MACC) for General Construction Projects in North Carolina will be awarded as a result of this solicitation. Task orders issued under this MACC will be 100% design bid build. The performance period for each contract will include an initial base period of twelve months with four (4) twelve-month option periods for a total performance period of sixty months. There is no maximum annual value for this contract. For the total performance period (base plus all options), the total estimated construction cost for all contracts will not exceed a total value of $450,000! ,000. The minimum guarantee is $5,000 per contract over the full term of the contract to include option years. Typical projects will have an estimated construction cost between $100,000 up to $5,000,000. There will be a seed project included in this solicitation. SEED PROJECT: The request for proposal will include an initial 100% design bid build seed project: Replace Windows Building RR-4, Marine Corps Base, Camp Lejeune, NC. The work includes removing existing windows from the building and providing and installing new aluminum anti-terrorism force protection (ATFP) windows and wood window stools at each window location, pressure washing and painting each exterior concrete sill and incidental related work. The seed project shall be issued as a task order to one of the selected contractors whose proposal represents the best value to the Government. After award of the seed project, the selected contractors will complete on subsequent task order projects. Award factors will vary depending on the unique requirements for each project; however, pricing will be weighted heavily. Each awarded task order will be firm fixed priced.
