VT Milcom Inc. received a $10.06 million firm fixed-price delivery order from the Naval Information Warfare Systems Command (NAVWAR) for Consolidated Afloat Networks and Enterprise Services (CANES) production units and sub-assemblies, with an ultimate completion date of August 21, 2025. The delivery order was awarded on January 23, 2024, without a set-aside designation and is being performed in Virginia Beach, Virginia. This award is issued against the CANES Full Deployment Production indefinite-delivery/indefinite-quantity contract vehicle, which consolidates and modernizes shipboard information technology networks and computing infrastructure across the U.S. Navy fleet into a single, secure enterprise architecture. VT Milcom, a Virginia Beach-based defense contractor specializing in C4ISR (command, control, communications, computers, intelligence, surveillance, and reconnaissance) solutions for naval applications, holds a $4.1 billion CANES IDIQ contract with NAVWAR that enables delivery of system integration, hardware procurement, testing, software loading, and lifecycle management services.
The delivery order is supported by a supply chain of specialized subcontractors providing critical components and materials. Red River Technology LLC supplies computer and IT hardware; Heilind Mil-Aero LLC provides electrical and fiber optic interconnect components; Govsmart, Inc. delivers additional computer supplies; Jonathan Engineered Solutions Corp. furnishes precision-engineered hardware; CDW Government LLC provides IT equipment and infrastructure solutions; and Cability, Inc. supplies cable assemblies and related materials. The subcontractor awards were made between May and July 2024, reflecting the phased procurement of components required to support the production of CANES units that enhance Navy fleet cybersecurity, reduce network variants, and deliver integrated command and control capabilities across naval platforms.
