PURPOSE THE PURPOSE OF THIS TASK ORDER IS TO PROVIDE COMPLETE PRODUCTION (INCLUDING PRE- AND POST-PRODUCTION TASKS) OF AN 18-MINUTE HD FILM IN 16:9 FORMAT WITH 5.1 SURROUND SOUND FOR GREAT BASIN NATIONAL PARK (NEVADA). THE FILM WILL EMPHASIZE BOTH THE NATURAL AND CULTURAL FEATURES FOUND WITHIN THE PARK S BOUNDARIES AS WELL AS VASTNESS AND DIVERSITY OF THE ENTIRE GREAT BASIN PHYSIOGRAPHIC REGION (200,000 SQUARE MILES) THAT THE PARK IS CHARGED WITH INTERPRETING. THE PRODUCTION WILL BE SHOWN AT THE GREAT BASIN VISITOR CENTER IN BAKER, NEVADA, WHICH RECEIVES APPROXIMATELY 100,000 VISITORS PER YEAR. THE FILM WILL BE A PRIMARY MEANS OF INFORMING AND ORIENTING PARK VISITORS TO PARK RESOURCES. THIS FILM WILL REPLACE AN OUT-DATED SLIDE SHOW AND WILL BE A TOOL TO SUPPORT RESOURCE MANAGEMENT EFFORTS. THE FILM WILL ALSO BE PACKAGED AS A PRODUCT FOR SALE AT THE PARK S COOPERATING ASSOCIATION BOOKSTORE. IN ADDITION TO THE MAIN FILM, A 30-SECOND FAST-PACED TRAILER SUITABLE FOR TELEVISION AND WEB BROADCAST WILL BE PRODUCED. THE TRAILER WILL BE INCLUDED ON THE SALES PRODUCT. II. SCOPE OF WORK IN ACCORDANCE WITH THE TERMS AND CONDITIONS OF THE ABOVE-REFERENCED CONTRACT, THE CONTRACTOR SHALL PROVIDE THE NATIONAL PARK SERVICE WITH ALL LABOR, MATERIALS, SERVICES AND FACILITIES NECESSARY TO PRODUCE AN 18-MINUTE HIGH DEFINITION INTERPRETIVE VIDEO WITH 5.1 SURROUND SOUND WITH AN ORIGINAL MUSIC SCORE AND A 30-SECOND TRAILER FOR GREAT BASIN NATIONAL PARK IN ACCORDANCE WITH ATTACHMENT A OF YOUR BASIC CONTRACT ENTITLED, NATIONAL PARK SERVICE STANDARD SPECIFICATIONS FOR AUDIOVISUAL PRODUCTION AND MULTIMEDIA PLANNING, DESIGN AND PRODUCTION SERVICES WITH INSTALLATION, DATED AUGUST 26, 2008. THE INTERPRETATION TEAM AT GRBA ENVISIONS USING A MIXTURE OF VIDEO (90%) AND STILL IMAGERY (10%), WITH THE MAJORITY SHOT SPECIFICALLY FOR THIS PROJECT (90%), BUT SOME DERIVED FROM EXISTING SOURCES SUCH AS THE PARK S ARCHIVES (FOR EXAMPLE: HISTORIC PHOTOGRAPHS). TO CAPTURE THE PARK IN DIFFERENT SEASONS, THREE FILMING TRIPS WILL BE REQUIRED: WINTER/SPRING (APRIL OR MAY), SUMMER (JULY) AND FALL (SEPTEMBER). AERIAL SHOTS FILMED IN BOTH WINTER AND SUMMER WILL BE NECESSARY TO COMMUNICATE THE IMPRESSIVE PATTERN BASIN-RANGE-BASIN-RANGE PATTERN THAT STRETCHES ACROSS THE REGION. SPECIALIZED VIDEOGRAPHY INCLUDING NIGHTTIME, TIME-LAPSE, AND MACRO AND MICRO WILL BE REQUIRED. THERE IS NO DRAFT TREATMENT OR SCRIPT; THEREFORE, THE FIRST SITE VISIT SHALL INCLUDE A 3-DAY WORKSHOP WITH THE CONTRACTOR, COR, KEY GRBA STAFF, AND PARK PARTNERS TO DEVELOP THE BASIC CONCEPTS AND THEMES FOR THE FILM, FOLLOWED BY SEVERAL DAYS FOR RESEARCH AND SCOUTING. THE FINAL PRODUCTS SHALL INCLUDE ALL STANDARD FEDERAL ACCESSIBILITY FEATURES INCLUDING SUBTITLES FOR THE DEAF AND HARD OF HEARING AND AUDIO DESCRIPTION, IN ACCORDANCE WITH THIS CONTRACT AND SECTIONS 504 AND 508 OF THE REHABILITATION ACT OF 1973.
