Description

Provide a & E services for the rehabilitation panther junction administration building. This project will rehabilitate the panther junction headquarters building to bring the facility into compliance with energy management and sustainability requirements of the energy policy act of 2005, the energy independence and security act of 2007, executive orders (EO) 13423 and 13514, and DOI sustainable buildings implementation plan. The project will include energy efficiency improvements recommended by a 2009 independent energy audit (performed by standard renewable energy, houston, texas) including replacement of 100-windows, replacement of five low seasonal energy efficiency ratio (SEER) heating, venting and air conditioning (HVAC) units, RE-lamping of 100 incandescent and halogen light fixtures, duct sealing, and additional ceiling insulation. Electrical upgrades will be made to support these efficiency improvements and address code deficiencies. The work will include upgrades to the electrical distribution system to correct existing national electric code (NEC) deficiencies, and plumbing and propane systems to correct uniform plumbing code (UPC) deficiencies. The project will also include painting of interior & exterior walls, new floors and ceiling finishes in the offices. Staff restrooms will be rehabilitated to comply with UPC & american with disabilities act (ADA) requirements. Outdated and worn fixtures and toilet partitions will be replaced. One additional fixture will be installed in each bathroom which will better accommodate community room functions and daily staff needs. This 10,985 square foot building, houses the park administrative staff, including the park superintendent, division chiefs, the interpretative division, maintenance admin staff, law enforcement and the entire dispatch operation.
