Boarding Pass Scanners (BPS)
Added: Aug 08, 2014 12:11 pm Synopsis:The Department of Homeland Security (DHS), Transportation Security Administration (TSA), intends to compete its requirement for Boarding Pass Scanners (BPS). The BPS is a commercial product that can be deployed rapidly. It is intended to scan airline electronic and paper Boarding Passes, and validate and display vetting results and flight and passenger information. The BPS supplements TSO manual processes, reducing dependency on the TSO to visually inspect boarding passes to verify passenger vetting status. BPS units will be delivered to sites toughout the United States and its territories.Anticipated Milestones:TSA intends to issue a Request for Proposal (RFP) subsequent to this announcement with two distinct submission requirements: (1) a written proposal, and; (2) a fully functional BPS unit to be bailed at no cost to the Government for testing against Functional Requirements Document version 2.0, dated July 27, 2014. The relevant milestones and their anticipated due dates are listed below.
