Description
The contractor must have strong systems administration knowledge of orthorectification which is the process by which the geometry of an image is made planimetric (map-accurate) by modeling the nature and magnitude of geometric distortions in the imagery. Camera or satellite models in conjunction with limited ground control, allow construction of correction formulae that produce accurate, geometrically correct, map-oriented imagery. The contractor must be able to demonstrate their ability to successfully orthorectify historical photography without any camera model information, i.e. radial lens distortion parameters, fiducial measurements, etc.2.1 task description. The following sections detail the services that will be performed under this contract by the scanning, orthorectification and mosaicking of 301 frames of archived aerial photos, and the scanning of 30 additional frames for archival purposes. - clean-up photos prior to scanning to include digital cleanup and erasing marks - photo scanning and the importing of images into erdas imagine software - aerial photo subset reference to same size - ortho-rectification of frames - generate pyramid layers, set interior orientation, add control and PIE PTS - aero-triangulation, orthorectify, apply map projection - mosaicking (no color balancing applied) - mrsid compression of individual 1947 frames and mosaic - archive frames - write to CD or DVD
