Responses to this synopsis will not be reviewed as responsive proposals to the future solicitation. The purpose of this synopsis is to notify potential offerors of the anticipated solicitation in accordance with FAR 5.204. The U.S. General Services Administration, Federal Acquisitions Services, Rocky Mountain Region 8 intends to issue a solicitation to provide facility maintenance services for the Air Force Medical Support Agency (AFMSA) to support Medical Treatment Facilities (MTF). It is anticipated that this solicitation will result in a multiple award firm fixed price (FFP) indefinite delivery indefinite quantity (IDIQ) contract/s and services will be ordered from this contract/s via task orders. The primary user and customer of the IDIQ contract will be the Air Force Medical Support Agency (AFMSA). The applicable North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) code is 561210 - Facilities Support Services. Estimated solicitation release date is: April 16, 2015Estimated solicitation response date is: May 16, 2015All dates in this announcement are estimates and subject to change. The solicitation will be competed with full and open competition and small business goals will be addressed via subcontracting plans. This solicitation will be issued electronically in accordance with FAR 4.502, therefore, hardcopies will not be provided. The objective of the anticipated solicitation will be to acquire Operational and Maintenance (O&M) Services at Government medical and related non-medical facilities including hospitals, clinics, administrative, pharmacies, veterinarian, dental, training, research, utility and energy plants, labs, and storage facilities as well as some non-medical facilities associated with these medical facilities. The geographic scope of the contracted services will cover the United States, including Alaska, Hawaii, and all U.S. Territories and possessions, and may include specific overseas locations. The primary geographic focus for the acquisition will cover the United States medical facilities. This procurement also includes repair work in support of facility maintenance services, which may include some minor construction type work. Any repairs in support of facility maintenance must be in compliance with building codes provided by the Department of Defense.Note: The anticipated solicitation is being issued electronically as will any amendments thereto. Because of this, the Government is under no obligation and is unable to maintain a bidder's mailing list. It is therefore incumbent upon any interested parties to periodically access FedBizOpps.com to obtain any amendments which may be issued. Failure to obtain any said amendments and respond to them prior to the date and time set for receipt of offers may render your proposal/quote non-responsive and result in the rejection of the same.
