Description
GSA advantage! Contract no.: no suggested source in 2012, the office of security capabilities (OSC) began to collocate the ETD with the AIT. OSC provided etdcs to the CAT X and a limited number of CAT I airports that requested a cart to hold the ETD. A total of 329 etdcs were purchased to allow those airports to place an ETDC adjacent to the AIT. The explosive trace detection cart (ETDC) is a cart that holds the explosive trace detection (ETD) equipment and is to be collocated next to the advanced imaging technology (AIT). Due to changes in equipment capabilities and OSO (office of security operations) communication, explosive trace detection award, dated december 16, 2014, an ETD is now required to support AIT screening and must be collocated adjacent to the AIT.
