The Federal Bureau of Prisons, Field Acquisition Office, Grand Prairie, TX, intends to issue solicitation 15B21620Q00000029 for the provision of Mobile MRI/MRA/CT services. The contractor will provide the Mobile MRI services in the Health Services Department at FCI Elkton, located at 8760 Scroggs Road, Libson, OH 44432. The contract type is an indefinite delivery/requirements contract with firm-fixed unit price. An estimated number of 12 scans per year will be performed for each service (MRI/MRA and CT), which is an estimated 24 scans annually. An approximate total of 120 inmates will be scanned for both MRI/MRA and CT scans per year, which totals to approximately 240 inmates annually. THIS IS A SOURCES SOUGHT ANNOUNCEMENT ONLY - Solicitations are not available at this time. This notice does not constitute a commitment by the Government. The Bureau of Prisons has a future requirement for Mobile MRI Services for inmates at the Federal Correctional Institution (FCI) in Elkton, OH located at 8760 Scroggs Road, Libson, OH 44432. The contractor shall provide Mobile Magnetic Resonance Imaging (MRI) services to the Health Services Department at the FCI. The services will be performed in a designated area behind the gate determined by the Health Services Department. The NAICS Code is 621512. The mobile MRI/MRA/CT will perform services on an as needed basis. Sessions will be scheduled between the hours of 6:00 am – 4:00 pm, Monday tu Friday, excluding federal holidays. Each session is defined as one day in length. A day is defined as eight (8) hours. The total number of sessions will be an estimated two (2) per month, one (1) session for MRI/MRA and one (1) session for CT. MRI/MRA had approximately 12 inmates per day and CT had approximately 7 inmates per day. The Contracting Officer’s Representative (COR) will be responsible for schedule times. (Exact times are negotiable). Based upon previously required services, an estimated number of 10 scans per year will be performed, which is an approximate total of 120 inmates seen for MIR/MRA scans and approximately 70 inmates seen for CT scans. The contractor will normally be scheduled a month in advance. The MRI services schedule will be flexible to meet the need of the institution based on the work volume and the security needs. Please see the Statement of Work for more details. The Government contemplates awarding a requirements-type contract with firm-fixed unit prices resulting from the forthcoming solicitation. The contract period shall consist of a base year and four option years. A Government solicitation document to provide these services is being developed, and a contract may or may not result. Market research is being conducted to determine interest and capability of potential sources for this requirement. All information submitted in response to this announcement is voluntary the Government will not pay for information requested nor will it compensate any respondent for any cost incurred in developing information provided to the Government.
