Added: Aug 19, 2009 2:21 pm This contract is for the design and installation of two fire sprinkler systems and associated appurtenances, to provide for complete and separate coverage of two structures described below; and installation of a dedicated underground water supply line for each of the sprinkler systems. All work shall comply with National Fire Protection Association (NFPA) Standard 13 for light hazard occupancy structures. The two buildings are each wood-framed, slab-on-grade construction and are approximately 40 feet apart. There is currently a six inch underground fire main line located approximately 75 feet from one of the buildings. The Wilderness Information Center (WIC) is approximately 2710 square feet and contains a public lobby, private offices, luncoom, and restrooms; it was built in the 1980s and has been remodeled several times. The Search and Rescue cache is 720 square feet and is a storage building; it was constructed this spring. All work will be performed under a single Firm-Fixed Price construction contract subject to the Davis-Bacon Act. In accordance with FAR 36.204, the estimated magnitude of this construction project is between $25,000 and $100,000. PROJECT LOCATION: Marblemount, Washington, is a small, rural town located approximately 45 miles east of Sedro-Woolley WA. Maps and park information may be viewed at www.nps.gov/noca and www.marblemount.com. SOLICITATION DETAILS: In accordance with FAR Part 19.10, the Small Business Competitiveness Demonstration Program, this best value procurement is open to all businesses without regard to size. The NAICS code for this project is 238220 and the small business size standard is $14.0 million, average annual gross receipts for the past tee years. The electronic Request for Quotations will be available on approximately August 21, 2009, at www.fbo.gov and http://ideasec.nbc.gov. In order to download the solicitation, interested vendors must register at http://ideasec.nbc.gov. No hard copies of the solicitation will be mailed or issued. It is therefore the contractor's responsibility to check the websites for any posted changes to the solicitation. The Government reserves the right to cancel this solicitation. Prior to award the successful offeror must establish and/or maintain an active registration at www.ccr.gov and complete the online representations and certifications at https://orca.bpn.gov.
