Added: Mar 31, 2016 5:11 pm The Smithsonian Institution is seeking offers from Exhibit Fabricators for the installation of exhibits in a newly renovated space within the National Museum of American History located at Constitution Avenue and 14th Street, SW in Washington, DC ("NAMAH"). Current renovations to the second floor West Wing ("2W") in NMAH will house upcoming American political and social history exhibitions. Tee of the 2W Galleries are to be fabricated and installed under the soon to be released solicitation: the Landmark Concourse Exhibits (Concourse), the American Democracy, A Great Leap of Faith Gallery (American Democracy), and the Many Voices, One Nation Gallery (MVON) are scheduled for overall and final completion in June of 2017. The resulting contract will consist of a base with options specified in the solicitation package. The Base Bid and Options incorporate, among other things, glass display cases, raised plinth/platforms areas, scenic backgrounds, kiosks, reader rails, wall graphics, period props, and Integral LED fiber optic lighting.
