The US Mission in Zambia awarded a definitive contract to John Snow, Incorporated for the Program for Advancing Supply Chain Outcomes (PASCO) commodity distribution initiative on September 1, 2022, with a ceiling value of $20 million on a cost-plus-fixed-fee basis.
PASCO improves lifesaving commodity availability at Zambian service delivery points through ZAMMSA by extending third-party logistics activity managed under the GHSC-PSM project to include last-mile distribution. The contract requires strengthening Zambia's transportation and distribution systems from central medical stores in Lusaka to regional hubs and service delivery points, with emphasis on safe pick-up, transport, and delivery of pharmaceuticals and medical supplies with appropriate control mechanisms.
Place of performance is Zambia. The contract runs through August 31, 2027. The originating pre-solicitation notice was posted December 7, 2021, with proposals due December 22, 2021.
