The Department of Veterans Affairs awarded a $8.8 million firm fixed price definitive contract to Healthcare Asset Network Inc. to provide equipment recertification and management of surge capacity services through the Deployment of Equipment Recertification and Management of Surge Capacity Bridge contract. Per the solicitation, the contractor will be responsible for decompression, utilization, repair, redeployment and disposition services for personal property currently stored as excess inventory across the Veterans Health Administration healthcare system. The bridge contract serves as a stop gap measure while the VA works to award a new contract and allows the contractor to manage equipment recertification and meet surge capacity needs through the DERMS program until then. Performance will take place in Prospect, Kentucky and run from April 1, 2021 through May 29, 2022. Funding is provided by the Department of Veterans Affairs.
