The Department of the Interior's Interior Business Center awarded a $10.97 million firm fixed-price definitive contract to Veterans Environmental Group, LLC for repair and modernization of the Jack Mountain Multi-Use Range at Fort Hood, Texas on September 22, 2026, under a total small business set-aside. The originating solicitation, posted July 30, 2026 with bids due September 1, 2026, called for design and phased construction of range infrastructure repairs and modernization across six base tasks: preconstruction activities; repair and modification of four Moving Armored Targets; repair and modification of one MAT emplacement using reinforced concrete and Bin Block construction; repair and modernization of 117 Stationary Infantry Targets at 18 clusters; repair and modernization of 56 Stationary Armor Targets; and repair and modernization of three SAT/SIT combination clusters.
