Description
New call order entitled, "research and analysis on biomass feedstocks and bioenergy systems" which outlines contractor support for the current and future CEB analysis" this task order also involves the development and use of economic, biophysical, and other models to determine and analyze current and potential future supply and demand of bioenergy and related feedstocks, how different policies and programs (e.g., sustainability programs, energy policies) could affect the demand and supply of biogenic feedstocks, and the impacts of changing bioenergy demand on land use activities and related GHG stocks and fluxes. EPA may also request support for the SAB peer review process, including assistance with developing materials for EPA's use during and after the SAB process, with collecting and analyzing public comments received during the process and with public relations and outreach materials related to the revised framework and peer review process. Another element of the task order is to support EPA's research of different land use management, forestry and agriculture programs and policies that focus on sustainable management, carbon storage/GHG fluxes, and other sustainable environmental activities. Finally, EPA seeks assistance with a potential rulemaking process, including supporting analysis and documentation. In addition, this includes preparing technical support documents as needed for rulemaking, assisting with drafting, and responding to comments.
