THE COMMON EDUCATION DATA STANDARDS WILL CONTINUE DEVELOPING COMMON DATA STANDARDS FOR A CORE SET OF POSTSECONDARY AND K-12 STUDENT, STAFF, AND INSTITUTION VARIABLES (VERSION 2.0). IN THE BASE YEAR, THE WORK WILL INCLUDE DEVELOPING COMMON DATA STANDARDS FOR IHES, AS WELL AS REFINING THE WORK IN VERSION 1.0 COVERING K-12 EDUCATION AND TRANSITION TO POSTSECONDARY EDUCATION. SHOULD THE OPTION PERIOD BE EXERCISED, IT IS ANTICIPATED THAT WORK WOULD FOCUS ON EXTENDING THE WORK TO PRESCHOOL EDUCATION AND WORKFORCE DATA. THE CONTRACTOR SHALL SUPPORT NCES AND THE STAKEHOLDERS TO COMPILE AND REFINE A COMMON DATA ELEMENTS, INCLUDING DEFINITIONS, VALUE RANGES, AND TECHNICAL SPECIFICATIONS. THE CONTRACTOR SHALL WORK WITH THE TWG TO SOLICIT FEEDBACK ON THE STANDARDS FROM THE NATIONAL FORUM ON EDUCATION STATISTICS (FORUM), THE POSTSECONDARY COMMUNITY, AND OTHER ORGANIZATIONS AS THE STANDARDS ARE DEVELOPED AND REFINED.
