Youth Film Platform C.b.o

Youth Film Platform C.b.o is a nonprofit organization registered in Kiserian, Kenya, with active SAM.gov registration until September 4, 2025. The organization appears to focus on educational and cultural exchange programs, particularly in the realm of youth development and filmmaking. As a nonprofit entity, Youth Film Platform C.b.o engages primarily with U.S. federal agencies in collaborative projects that support international cultural understanding and skills development for young professionals.

The organization has received multiple federal grant awards from the Bureau of Educational and Cultural Affairs and Bureau of African Affairs, primarily through cooperative agreements. These grants have centered on two key program areas: the Mandela Washington Fellowship Pre-Fellowship Orientation and the FilmFupi Academy. The Mandela Washington Fellowship grants involve planning and executing orientation programs that include day-long educational sessions, visa interviews at the U.S. Embassy, and professional networking receptions. The FilmFupi Academy grant, which was terminated, was designed to provide hands-on filmmaking training to build technical and professional skills for participants, enabling them to write, produce, shoot, and edit short films. The federal grants, totaling three awards between October 2023 and October 2025, demonstrate Youth Film Platform C.b.o's commitment to cross-cultural education, professional skill development, and youth empowerment through film and cultural exchange programs.
