Past federal grants have funded West Region Wildfire Council to conduct wildfire risk assessments of over 1,000 homes, make defensible space and fuels treatment recommendations for 150 homeowners, and treat 260 acres to establish defensible space zones and community-scale shaded fuelbreaks to reduce hazardous fuels.
